“See you in two days — at the Super Bowl, bro!”
These texts are a dad’s dream.
And thanks to my roles as a member of the media, I’m fortunate that these texts have been a reality over the past several years. It’s the business trip from heaven.
This year, I’m taking you with me.
Beginning Monday, and running through the Friday before Super Bowl 52, we will release “Two Dads, One Super Bowl” — the FTFP podcast which will be recorded and released live each day from Radio Row in Minneapolis, Minn., site of Super Bowl 52 between the New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles.
Joining me will be fellow dadbro, and one of my annual Super Bowl compadres (and all-time great dude) Josh Rimer.
Sure, we’ll talk a bit about the game, but that’s not really what this is. There are plenty of other places you’ll get that stuff. Instead, we’ll talk about the scene, the celebrity happenings, our quest for as many free samples as possible, and the inevitable fatigue we experience every year as we try to live the Super Bowl lifestyle in our 40-year-old dad bodies. Oh, and I’ll be busting Josh’s chops plenty as he attempts to maintain the crown of King of Celebrity Selfies.
So be sure to check back each day as our week unfolds.
Oh, and if you have any questions you’d like us to answer, missions you’d like us to attempt, or topics you’d like us to address, Tweet them at us directly (Josh’s Twitter is right here; and mine is right here), and use the hashtag #TwoDadsOneSB.
