Ask Your Father: Guns, mass shootings & a plea

Guns, man.

A thought popped into my head today and it never should have.

As I dropped my daughter off at school, a feeling of complete and utter helplessness crept into my noggin as there was another mass killing at a school just four days ago.

The sad part is that the thought, this post and the accompanying podcast would have been timely years ago, months ago, weeks and days ago. We have a problem in America and absolutely nothing has changed.

Have a listen to the AYF snippet above and please join the discussion. It’s one we should have, lest we’ll never stop talking about it.

Also, for those that did listen, here are the three links I talk about, which offer a quite interesting range of viewpoints on this whole mess:

  1. Via PBS: More than mass shooting happens per day in the U.S., data shows
  2. Via Politico: How the NRA rewrote the Second Amendment
  3. Via The Onion: ‘No way to prevent this,’ says only nation where this regularly happens
